Having sufficient air tank capacity and a durable diving suit is crucial, as navigating the deep underwater tunnels consumes significant oxygen. A Net Gun or Tranquilizer Pistol is highly recommended to safely neutralize aggressive marine life along the route.
As part of the storyline, players will need Diving Gloves provided by Dr. Bacon to pull out heavy stakes embedded near the debris. Getting these gloves requires completing a brief trial on the surface and testing them out on heavy objects. Once equipped, Dave can handle heavy rocks and interact with mechanical stakes found in the Depths.
Navigating to the Sea People Village Gate
Descending into the Depths requires following the mission markers while steering clear of environmental hazards. Players must navigate through dark corridors filled with tube worms by using a UV light picked up from nearby supply crates. Careful movement is required while carrying Ramo, as dropping her near hostile jellyfish can trigger dangerous explosive attacks.
After passing the initial tubeworm tunnels, continue following the path down and to the right toward the large stone structure. You will encounter the first set of rocks blocking the entrance. Interacting with the central stake triggers a cutscene and sets up the final phase of the path-clearing process.
Locating and Clearing the Second Rock Pile
Many players find the second obstacle tricky due to the complex, winding cave paths in the Depths. To reach the upper side of the blockage, swim left past the jellyfish encounters and search for a narrow vertical tunnel leading upward. Following this passage around to the right brings you directly above the second pile of rocks.
At the final location, grab the large stake using the Diving Gloves and complete the button-prompt minigame to pull it free. Removing this stake collapses the remaining debris, completely opening the path to the Sea People Village. Clearing this entrance concludes the mission and unlocks brand-new areas, characters, and storylines to explore in future chapters.
