Navigating the vast landscapes of Hyrule in Tears of the Kingdom requires unlocking various regional vantage points to map out your surroundings. One such essential location is the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower, which serves as a crucial tracking node for the Lanayru Wetlands and West Necluda areas. However, reaching the structure is only half the battle, as an unexpected lock mechanism requires players to find an alternative entry route underneath the facility.

Finding the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower

The tower stands prominently on a high ridge southeast of Central Hyrule, specifically positioned in the West Necluda region. Adventurers can easily spot the structure by looking towards the coordinates 1344, -1170, 0166 just west of Kakariko Village. Climbing the surrounding cliffs can consume significant stamina, so utilizing nearby sky islands or stamina-boosting meals is highly recommended for an easier ascent.

Upon reaching the summit, you will find a Rito repairman named Billson standing outside the locked doors looking completely perplexed. He explains that the mechanical doors are jammed from the inside, preventing him from completing necessary maintenance work. This interaction directly initiates the environmental puzzle that you must solve to gain access to the terminal inside.

Exploring the Sahasra Slope Cave Below

To bypass the blocked entrance, players must descend slightly down the northwestern side of the cliff to find the entrance to the Sahasra Slope Cave. The cavern network directly beneath the tower is heavily blocked by dense layers of breakable brown rock formations. Equipping a stone-fused weapon or utilizing explosive materials like bomb flowers is necessary to clear the path forward efficiently.

As you smash your way deeper into the tunnel, ignore the side paths guarded by Horriblins and look for a hidden chamber near the center of the hill structure. Clearing the rubble leads to a small alcove featuring a clean ceiling area that sits precisely underneath the tower's foundation. Standing in this specific spot allows players to prepare for the final magical transportation step.

Using Ascend to Complete the Puzzle

Once you locate the correct subterranean alcove, activate the Ascend ability and aim your target reticle directly upward through the solid rock ceiling. The indicator should turn green, confirming a valid path into the interior of the locked structure above. Confirm the action to swim upward through the stone and emerge directly next to the broken control console.

Inside the room, you will notice that two heavy wooden longswords have slid into place, effectively sliding across the sliding door tracks like a security deadbolt. Remove these weapons from the brackets and place them into your inventory to instantly clear the obstruction. Interacting with the front doors allows Billson to enter, repair the launch pad, and grant you full scanning access to map out the entire region.
